3 Ways Microsoft Dynamics 365 Improved My Work Life!

We all know the challenges that the modern workforce is facing – global markets, fast-paced decision making, smarter customers. We are in the throws of a Digital Evolution and Microsoft Dynamics 365 has made it possible for me to keep up. Now I would like to share with you how Microsoft Dynamics365 has improved my work life and my relationship with our customers through the integration, mobility, and tools to build leads.

The Powerful Integration

It goes without saying that the integration is the most significant breakthrough for me. I remember not too long ago when I spent most of my day navigating amongst separate applications to gain insight on a customer account. Having to do a double/triple entry of data to keep each application up to date, and dealing with conflicting data. So much of my day was spent working IN the customer accounts and hardly any time dedicated to working ON my customer accounts.

Now I am able to engage the customer better because my information is relevant, accurate and available at a moments notice. My favourite is the Outlook Integration – I live in Outlook. It’s where most of my weekly tasks manifest from. I cannot believe that I can check on a customers account information and NEVER exit the EMAIL! Some customers cannot believe how quickly I can respond to them. They feel like I am on the ball and have their organisations best interest in mind. Every customer gets the VIP attention because of it.

The lines are blurring and Microsoft Dynamics365 helps me keep the balance with Mobility. Global Markets bring Global Customers and all of them in different time zones. In the past – if our company had an important deal pending from an overseas customer and they needed information or to connect with our office – they had to wait until the next business day. A process that normally takes a few hours with our domestic customers was taking upwards of 3-4 days. With Microsoft Dynamics365 mobility – I can access the relevant and insightful data my overseas client needs to close the deal from home, from the cottage, from anywhere in the world! My Global customers never endure the pains of distant time and space.

Lead Generation on Microsoft Dynamics 365

Ok, let’s broach the subject important to every sales team – Lead generation. Lead generating can be a hard and reward-less task. Any salesperson can attest to the pains of gathering and then qualifying. The process takes a long time and the lead may not be fruitful in the end. With LinkedIn integration into Microsoft Dynamics365; my cost per lead has dramatically reduced. I use LinkedIn Navigator to generate search results for thousands of relevant leads. I can filter down to a specific industry and position and pre-qualify them based on their LinkedIn profiles. In 1 hour – I can do what used to take a team of people to do in one day. Once I have identified someone as a potential lead – I then use functions like Ice Breaker to introduce myself and connect.

Icebreaker shows me common contacts with the potential lead. When I reach out to this lead I can say something like “Hi there, I see you and Tom have worked together in the past. Tom is one of our current customers and has advised that you may be looking for XYZ. Let me know how if I can help”. This increases my chances of catching the leads attention because my message does not sound like the dreaded “cold call”. These tactics, along with the information I can gather about the targeted organisation and industry, empowers me and engages my potential customers.

To Conclude

With the front to back-end integration, mobility and tools to fill up the pipeline – my work life has significantly improved! I provide better customer service, have the agility to respond with insightful information, and reduced my CPL. Dynamics365 for Sales has made me a happy employee with happy customers!

Microsoft Beats Wall Street Targets On Cloud Services Revenue

Microsoft posted its quarterly profit and revenue on Thursday that beat analysts’ estimates, as more companies signed up for its cloud services and Office 365 productivity suite.

Revenue for Microsoft's cloud service, Azure, grew 89% year over year, driving the company’s revenue growth for its server and cloud division to 26%. For years, Microsoft's booming cloud business has pushed revenues higher. It has benefited from companies rushing to shift their workloads to the cloud to cut data storage and software costs.

“The combination of the cloud, which is a megatrend that’s going to last for years to come, and the execution, this is the company that knows how to sell and be innovative - it’s hard to argue with anything here,” said Tom Taulli, InvestorPlace.com analyst.

The number of organisations adopting cloud services is proliferating: whether that be from a hybrid approach, or going full cloud.

Microsoft also reported strong growth from other areas of its business. Revenue for LinkedIn grew 37 percent from the year-ago quarter. While its Dynamics 365 online business application suite posted a 61 percent increase.

Gartner positions Microsoft in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2017 Magic Quadrant for CRM Customer Engagement Center based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute.

Who is Gartner?

Gartner is a world-leading research and advisory firm which provides Information technology insights for IT and also other business leaders around the world. The Gartner Magic Quadrant is the intensely discussed tool for product selection in the IT industry.

It also helps to ascertain how well technology providers are executing their stated visions and how well they are performing against the competition.

Here is an abstract of Gartner review of Microsoft CRM using the Gartner Magic Quadrant.


From an organizational perspective, Microsoft is having a transitional year with changes of management. Although not disclosed in numbers, the whole Dynamics 365 suite showed a 67% growth rate. We evaluated Dynamics 365 for Customer Service (v.8.2), released in 2017.

The on-premises product continues to account for the majority of the references for larger and more complex customer service requirements, though the trend is toward online deployment. New business is directed to the online model, which the 2018 customer references were mostly delivered through.

We note that with the 2018 release (now GA), Dynamics 365 complies with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


  • Reference customers reported that Microsoft offers an intuitive user interface and straightforward customization tools, which lead to the fast setup of standard customer service environments.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a modular set of products that extend beyond customer service and share a common data service. Organizations can add Dynamics 365 capabilities such as Power BI, PowerApps (for citizen developers to build custom apps), sales, procurement and field service.
  • Microsoft is one of the world's most financially stable and profitable software companies. Its product integrates with software lines that have over 1 billion users. Reference customers reported good integration with Microsoft products and other standard tools.
  • Microsoft continues to offer both on-premises and online versions with the same or similar functionalities on the same code base. It also supports a wide range of local languages. It is one of few options available to organizations that are unable or unready to use the cloud.
  • Through the Unified Service Desk, organizations can better integrate and automate across Microsoft Dynamics 365, legacy and third-party data applications.

Vox ISM Summer Staff Meeting 2018 Recap

The Vox ISM summer staff meeting held at Granite Club on June 28, 2018. The staff meeting focused on to provide skills training for the new hires, update about new product releases, updated methodologies and business strategy for the next six months.

Ed Michitsch, General Manager, initiated the meeting by introducing the new hires and showcasing the capacity model to the team. Then our technical team, Danny Arkadyev and Trevor Reid gave a summary of Vox ISM Technical Meeting which held earlier this month. Followed by the Product and Process review by Val Ore and Shubhang Vayeda. Neetu Jain, the Marketing Coordinator, gave an insight into the marketing numbers and future marketing strategy.

Next, Mirza Beg, our recent addition to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Team, gave a recap of his training session. Our Microsoft Dynamics CRM Experts, Jacob Steinfeld and Charmaine Dyke gave a quarterly performance review. The presentation followed by Mike Fontaine, the Solutions Expert, enlightened the team about the new products and App Extensions. Emilia Arkadyev, Reporting and Analytics Manager, shared details about the MARS project. Nir Tzur, Microsoft Dynamics Expert, shared the results of the Vox ISM Staff Survey 2018.

Everyone took an active part in discussing the scope of the new products and technologies.

At the end of the staff meeting, President Jim Heaton shared the details about the upcoming business plan and marketing meetings. He also revealed the roadmap for the next six months. Jim concluded the meeting by cheerfully saying that 2018 has been the best year for Vox ISM until so far. He also thanked everyone for adding to the success of the company.


At the close of the meeting, staff was invited to the Summer Cocktail Party at Jim's place. The party provided an excellent opportunity for everyone to connect. The Vox ISM Team and unique atmosphere made the day significant.
