Master Production Scheduling or (MPS) is used to define a plan for the ‘A’ level items in the company that drive the revenue and consume the most amount of production resources.
Instead of setting up mins & max’s, the MPS strives to level out a load of product per day or week, sometimes using history and other times using a sales forecast.
In this webinar, we will discuss how to set up the MPS and explain the difference between demand-driven MRP and time-phased manufacturing requirements using the bill of material, safety stocks and leads times vs the higher-level planning tools available in Business Central.
