Wave 2 2025 Features

The 2025 release wave 2 contains hundreds of new features across Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and AI Builder, as well as Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform capabilities for governance and administration. In addition, we will summarize the springs Wave 1 release, are you using all the capabilities yet?

Business Central

The Vox Senior Management Team had our first look at the Microsoft Business Central Oct. 1st Wave 2 release. Here is what we saw:

1. Microsoft is pushing agents; this will be a big item in 2026. Mike will show the AP agent in Business Central, this will reduce your AP workload by half! An agent in Business Central is a system that operates based on assigned permissions and profiles, using AI to perform tasks within the Business Central environment. Agents can handle customer requests, generate quotes and orders, post invoices, and assist various teams such as sales, service, finance, and supply chain.

2. AI and Automation: Powered by Copilot, it includes features like report generation and data accessibility.

3. Advanced Reporting and Analytics: Enhanced reporting capabilities. 4. Integrations with Other Microsoft Tools: Improved integration with other Microsoft tools.

There were 200 individual enhancements, which is pretty typical for each new release. Many of you have just moved from Version 25 to version 26. The Fall release will be version 27.

Microsoft CRM

The 2025 Release Wave 1 of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM brings a host of new features and enhancements aimed at improving productivity and customer engagement. Key updates include:

· Sales Qualification Agent: An AI-driven tool that autonomously researches, assesses, and qualifies leads, streamlining the sales process.246

· Copilot Visualizations: AI-powered visualizations for better decision-making, providing instant graphs, summaries, or progress snapshots.

· Personalized Tone of Voice in Emails: Sellers can create and apply their own tone of voice to email communications, enhancing engagement.

· Automated Follow-Up Communications: The Sales Qualification Agent automates follow-up emails, adjusting content and cadence based on lead responses.

· AI Qualification at Scale: Sales Qualification Agents can autonomously research, assess, and qualify leads based on predefined rules.

These updates are designed to help sales teams focus on high-value activities, build a qualified pipeline, and improve customer relationships. The wave also includes enhancements across various modules, including Customer Service, Field Service, Project Operations, and more, ensuring that businesses can stay ahead in a competitive landscape.

Power Platform (Office Platform)

The 2025 fall Release Wave of Microsoft Power Platform includes a range of new features and enhancements aimed at improving business operations and user experiences. Here are some of the key updates:

· AI-Powered Power Apps & Power Automate: These tools will help users build intelligent solutions faster with agents and automation.

· Microsoft Copilot Studio Enhancements: This includes autonomous agents and expanded capabilities for custom agents.

· AI Builder Upgrades: These upgrades will offer multi-modal content processing for smarter automation.

· Governance & Security Boosts: Better tools for admins to manage and scale Power Platform.

· Power BI Joins Microsoft Fabric: This will enhance data integration and empower users to make smarter decisions.

These updates are designed to help businesses analyze, act, and automate their data, streamlining workflows and enhancing user engagement. The release wave is expected to be released between April 2025 and September 2025.
