On April 26, 2017 shops from all around the Windsor area joined Vox ISM at the Ciaociaro Club in Oldcastle, to learn about software tailored specifically for their unique needs.
Vox ISM has been working with manufacturing, tool and mould, and other job shops in the Windsor area since the mid 90s. With our 18+ years of experience we have developed solutions software solutions just for them. On April 26 shops from all around Windsor joined us as we presented the software that has led to the success of their neighbours.
The afternoon session was broken into two parts:
From 12:30 to 1 PM there was 3 quest speakers and a Piazza lunch:
- Marianne Moore from UHC discussed CAMM funding. She stressed that she can help you get the COJG funding at no charge to you, and has a 100% success rate on the 6 applications she did with Vox in the last 6 months.
- Jason from CAMM discussed there initiatives to promote the Moldmaking industry locally, nationally and internationally. Many attendees were members of CAMM including Vox. CAMM members are also full members of the APMA as of 2015
- Warren Ali of the APMA discussed ASCIP funding for the automotive industry.
From 1:00 to 2:30 the local “Vox Windsor Group” (Larry, Dave, Jim, Mike) reviewed the Microsoft 2017 software (ERP, CRM, Office) all working together, all Microsoft, all Mobile, and very cool. The 4 members of the Vox Windsor Team are all former NAV customers, worked in Manufacturing, and are local.
The key takeaways and features
My favourite part of the 90 minute software presentation were the ability to run the whole system out of Outlook, or on your Phone. Larry’s favourite part was the ability to schedule real time from the shop floor on your tablet or phone. Dave said his favourite part was Power BI for management reporting, this is where the cool kids play. Mike, liked how the system is now configured specifically for Oldcastle shops, and has the Oldcastle rules built in. Jim liked the integration of Accounting, Manufacturing, CRM, and Office, all working together, all from Microsoft.
