I’ve heard of Office 365 but what is Dynamics 365?
Dynamics 365 is a cloud service launched by Microsoft in July 2016 under the codename ‘Madeira’. Microsoft has combined its cloud CRM and ERP services into a single offering, Dynamics 365, and has also included applications to manage field service sales, marketing, project service automation, financials, operations, and customer service. In 2016 Microsoft opened two new data centres in Canada, Microsoft corporate focus is to transfer as many applications as they can to the cloud, the benefit for the future is that no matter where you are, or what device you are using, you can access and work with your data.
The Future of Reporting: Power BI
Power BI is a suite of business analytics tools to analyze data and share insights. Power BI dashboards provide a 360-degree view, for business users with their most important metrics in one place, updated in real time, and available on all of their devices. With one click, users can explore the data behind their dashboard using intuitive tools that make finding answers easy. In the latest versions of the software Power BI dashboards can now be fully embedded into CRM and ERP systems. This gives your users more power, with less App switching.

Perhaps in the future robots will take over the world, but right now they’re doing my work for me while I still collect the paycheck. And that’s something I can live with. How is AI doing this for me, and how can it do the same for you? Through AI embedded features in my day-to-day productivity tools. Cortana, the Microsoft Windows personal assistant, and Q&A, the Power BI natural language data search feature, have joined forces in a powerful way. This integration helps you pull more value out of your data.

You can even query your data using natural language, including using your computer or phones built in mic. What could be more natural than talking? Cortana and Power BI intuitively put business analytics power into the hands of your business users.If in the past you would have to use a developer to write an SQL inquiry, this often would take some time. Today and in the future, all you have to do is type the question and you will get information in real time, now imagine talking to Cortana and ask a question instead of typing, this is coming in the very near future.
