I attended the CAMM Golf Tournament yesterday at Fox Glen Golf Club (just outside of Windsor) and it was an outstanding success, it sold out 3 months before the event happened. The weather was outstanding, we feared for rain from the early weather forecasts on the day.
I manned the 8th hole with Larry (Vox Windsor Team Rep) and handed out glasses of Sangria to those that drove by our hole. We saw many of Vox ISM/Microsoft’s mold maker customers from Oldcastle who stopped by for a drink and a chat. Fully 20% of the mold makers that attended were Vox ISM/Shop9000 customers. Thank you for your support! We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

We were at the 8th hole from 11 AM to 6 PM, then attended the dinner event where Mike Kovacs also joined us, (Mike is Vox ISM’s Windsor local manufacturing expert). There were many prizes handed out from the holes sponsors at the dinner, including 1 for Jason from the just the 3rd foursome to reach the 8th hole. Jason hit an impressive hole in one on the 140 yard par 3, right in front of the Vox ISM staff. Congratulations Jason, enjoy the $5,000 prize money.
Afterwards Jonathon (the president of CAMM) gave a speech with the main message being:
Golf is a longstanding tradition with the Windsor area mold makers and CAMM uses the proceeds from the day to further the interests of the areas mold making industry by promoting export activities and to attract and train young people for a career in the mold making industry. He thanked Diane and Mike for doing a great job to make the golf day a huge success.
A great time was had by all, and I am definitely going back next year. Mike Hicks, VP at DMS thanked us for our support. Thank you for having us Mike, we look forward to doing it again next year.
