In March, Vox ISM moved from an On-Premise NAV2015 system to using Business Central. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an end-to-end cloud ERP solution built for small and midsized businesses. It runs on the same application code as Dynamics NAV and includes all the essential features, like account schedules, multiple companies/currencies/ languages and dimensions, which are familiar to Dynamics NAV customers.
Although it is an entirely cloud-based solution that we migrated to, Dynamics 365 Business Central is available for self-deployment on-premise or hosted.
We learned a few things during the process which might help others doing the same.
Improved Productivity
Power BI is now deployed automatically upon provisioning a Business Central instance, which means you get dozens of default Power BI reports on both the front page and on detailed views like cards and lists. In addition, you will have direct connectivity to Business Central from Outlook. You can enter sales orders, retrieve invoices and automatically send from your Outlook account.
What does reporting look like in Business Central?
The cash flow in a business is a good indicator of its financial solvency and can reveal whether the business can meet its financial obligations. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central provides enhanced cash flow forecasting tools with built-in Artificial Intelligence that businesses can use to analyze their cash flow. There are pre-built standard cash flow reports on the first page (called a role centre) when you connect to the ERP.
Does Jet Reports work within Business Central?
Of course! Jet Reports Financials provides fast and flexible financial reporting for Dynamics 365 Business Central directly inside of Excel. It’s a great option for companies who want to give their users the ability to quickly and easily create and refresh financial reports directly in Excel, in the format they need, with consolidations and unlimited dimension filters, without any technical expertise.
Improved User Experience & Doing Business Anywhere
Business Central features a clean, consistent user experience across browsers and mobile/tablet apps for both iPhones and Androids, improving user adoption and productivity. Whether you are on the road or at the cottage you can stay connected and help the business wherever you happen to be!
