First and foremost, we at hope all of you and your loved ones are getting through these difficult times in good health, but also that your companies stay manageable, and you can continue to operate as much as possible.

Continia has been in the NAV space since way before Microsoft bought the original Navision; in fact, their solutions are built explicitly for and inside Dynamics 365.

This blog explains how AP Automation and Document Capture, in general, can simplify your processes in these challenging times.

Streamline your data process

Accounts Payable Automation or automation in general to streamline your documents and data processes is more important than ever. Most of us now have to operate with people working remotely; it is not as easy to gather the information you need to process your documents in a remote setup.

Unfortunately, you cannot walk over to someone’s desk to ask for more information, and you are missing the professional printing and scanning equipment that you may have in the office. Chasing people for approvals was already a pain… even more now! And who enjoyed manual data entry, to begin with?

Easy process for sales orders

We can use similar processes to create a Sales Order from a PO, your customer sent you by fax, email etc. because obviously they are struggling in the same way and don’t have access to the usual systems either. Still, you don’t want that to be a hurdle for them to place an order with you.

Quick overview of Document Capture

In this video, you see how you can receive paper documents or emails and process them within Business Central (but it works the same way for NAV), but also how you can use the power of Business Central to let approvers help you in coding the documents correctly.

Through web approval, they can add additional information to invoices that are real-time stored in Business Central. Think about a particular G/L account but also things like dimensions, project, job/task etc.

Plus, since the code all lives and operates within the ERP, it can use customizations you have done over the years. Or you can customize the application to fit in better with your processes.
